PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Earth Tack is a premium polyacrylamide designed for hydromulching, hydroseeding and dust control applications. Earth Tack increases soil porosity and reduces sediment runoff through soil agglomeration and flocculating suspended sediment. Earth Tack provides optimal slurry viscosity for ease of application. It also provides for temporary erosion control during vegetative establishment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Product Basics

Earth Tack is a premium polyacrylamide (PAM) tackifier used in hydromulching, hydroseeding, and dust control applications. It improves soil structure, flocculates suspended sediment, enhances water infiltration, and provides temporary erosion control during vegetation establishment.

Earth Tack uses an anionic polyacrylamide formulation that binds soil particles together through flocculation and agglomeration. This prevents fine sediment from washing away during rainfall events and greatly improves water clarity and infiltration.

  • Active Ingredient: Non-crosslinked linear co-polymer of acrylamide and sodium acrylate

  • Minimum Active Ingredient: 90%

  • Ionic Charge: Anionic, 30%

  • Molecular Weight: 16–20 Mg/mol
  • Environmental Certifications: ANSI/NSF Standard 60, contains less than 0.05% residual acrylamide

Applications & Mixing

For temporary erosion control, Earth Tack should be applied at 6–8 lbs per 1,000 gallons of water. When used as a visual marker or to improve coverage, 150–300 lbs of mulch may be added to the slurry.

  • Flat terrain: 3–5 lbs/acre

  • 1:3 slope: 5–10 lbs/acre

  • 1:2 slope: 10–20 lbs/acre

  • 1:1 slope: 20–30 lbs/acre

Safety

Yes. Earth Tack meets ANSI/NSF Standard 60 and contains less than 0.05% residual acrylamide, making it safe for use in erosion control, stormwater management, and hydroseeding applications.
