PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
In operation, the venturi action of the water flow through the eductor produces a suction on the top side of the eductor. The powder inflow hose is attached at this point. After water flow has started, the powder to be mixed is vacuumed out of the bag. The suction carries the powder into the high velocity mixing section of the venturi in the eductor.
OPERATIONAL SEQUENCE
- Fill mix tank enough to cover the lower mixer blades. Normally a high volume flow from 3 to 6″ pipe will be used. Shut off flow when reaching mixing blades.
- Start boost pump and open valve to eductor. Wait 15 seconds to allow eductor to clear its throat.
- Insert vacuum hose into the bag of powder. The powder will flow freely to the eductor. Shifting of the bag may be necessary to remove all the powder. Use care to prevent paper scraps from entering the hose, these may plug the hose or eductor.
- After all the powder is educted into the tank, wait 15 seconds and shut off the water flow to the eductor.
- Using the large flow pipe, fill the mix tank to its final level.
